Who I help
I see older adults, people living with cognitive changes such as dementia, and families dealing with a change in mobility or safety at home.
That might be after a fall or a spell in hospital, or it might just be a growing sense that things aren't as easy as they used to be. Wherever you're starting from, I'm here to help you work out the next step.
How I work
I work at your pace. I'll take the time to understand the situation properly, explain things clearly as we go, and make sure you and your family feel comfortable with what's being suggested.
After the visit you'll get a written summary setting out what I'd recommend and why, so nothing is left vague.
How I started
I trained in both occupational therapy and psychology, so when I assess someone at home I'm thinking about more than how they get from the bed to the bathroom.
I'm looking at their daily routines, what's changed recently, what worries them, and what would actually help them keep doing the things that matter to them.
I started Quiet Confidence OT because I wanted to give people the kind of unhurried home visit there's rarely time for elsewhere. Good occupational therapy needs time and attention, and that's what I give every visit.
